Eric Nakassa is a musician and furniture designer based in New York City. Born in Tokyo and raised in the suburbs of Seattle, Washington, he received his Bachelor of Design in Industrial Design from the University of Washington in 2020. He relocated to New York City upon graduation and began working as an in-house furniture designer at Atelier Jouffre in Long Island City, designing and drafting custom high-end upholstered furniture for interior designers and private clients. In 2022, Eric joined Studio Giancarlo Valle, an award-winning international design practice recognized by Architectural Digest AD100. As a furniture designer at Studio Giancarlo Valle, he oversees and designs the studio's growing collection pieces as well as unique one-off pieces for a wide array of residential and commercial projects. Eric maintains his own design practice on the side, having exhibited personal works during NYCxDesign week and taking on private commissions.
